Basilica of Saint Peter

Vatican Museums

The Vatican Museums hold the immense collection of art collected by the popes since the 16th century. Founded by Pope Julius II, they occupy a large part of the vast courtyard of the Belvedere and are an obligatory stop for all lovers of Art and History passing through Rome .

Sistine Chapel

The Sistine Chapel is one of the most important treasures of the Vatican, of Rome and of the world and has been the seat of the conclave since 1870 where the meeting is held in which the cardinals choose a new Pope. It also contains absolute masterpieces of art, loved and celebrated all over the world created by Michelangelo Buonarroti.

Sant’Angelo castel

Castel Sant’Angelo and located on the right bank of the Tiber in front of the Sant ‘Angelo bridge not far from the Vatican . Archaeological site, fortress and prison, but also pontifical residence full of artistic episodes of great importance and was built around 123 AD. as a sepulcher for the emperor Adriano and his family.
